hi! i saw this post in one of those quick and random showings lj does and clicked immediately because i too love harry potter and am anxiously awaiting the book AND movie. anyway, just thought i'd say hiiii!
Yay! Hi back at you. I am currently rereading Order of the Phoenix (for the 3rd time) just to celebrate the movie coming out. And of course, the book...I can't way for the book. I have 2 kids, and I think I'm going to send them away to a grandparent's house when the book comes out so that I can spend two whole days reading it without any interruptions.
I need people to see the movie with. Wanna come to Jersey? :)
Also, I'm so glad my class ends on Tuesday because I honestly have not picked up a book since it started at the end of April. I miss having the time to just sit and read so much, and I'll need it once that seventh book comes out.
I actually prefer to see the Harry Potter movies alone. There is something so indulgent about it to me that I don't want any person next to me. I don't want any distractions or anyone to laugh when I cry like a baby at all the sad parts. Not to say that you would be a bad viewing partner, I just like going alone.
Doesn't it suck when all you have time to read relates back to school?
Well, I wasn't really expecting you to come all the way to Brick just to see a movie with me, so I won't be too upset. :)
I know I saw the last one alone, in fact I waited until it had been out a week or two and saw it early on a weekend afternoon when all the kids were in school, so there were only maybe a dozen, two dozen people in the theater.
Brenna got me into the series, so I saw the first one (maybe the first two, can't remember now) with her.

WOO! I've already requested off work for the day the book comes out. Obviously that means I'm going to go get it at midnight and stay up all night reading. A couple of my friends and I are already planning our costumes for going to see the midnight showing of the next movie. I can't actually be a character this year though since I'll certainly be showing.
Oh FUN! I didn't realize that some places did the whole rocky horror-ish costume showing. I need to see if they do that here.
Maybe you could be the Aunt that Harry inflated in Prisoner of Azakaban...I don't remember which one. LMAO. I'm sure you aren't that big anyway but you could get some laughs. Or go as a character in a robe. The robe should cover your belly.
I get giddy like a pre-teenager over these things. I haven't typed all caps words this much in a long time. FUN and YAY. SQEE
I just feel like a nerd because I'm in my late twenties but squee and yay and omg like a pre-teen when it comes to Harry Potter. I'm developing a crush on Daniel Radcliff and I'm at least 10 years older than him. It might be illegal to have a crush on him. I don't know, is he 18 yet?
