I am mad for this fic, and I can't figure out why, since AH isn't usually my thing, either. Especially AH fic that includes makeovers for the heroine, as has been happening - for good reason! - in the last few chapters. There probably isn't enough conflict in it to be objectively a great story, but I am getting kind of obsessed with it anyway.

So, I really appreciate your beautiful manips, and understand the impulse to contribute to this world!

You make a very good point about the lack of conflict, and I know, this story is intriguing, but why? A combination of smooth writing, a much too common trope, a grasp of true, deep-seated feelings to which anybody can relate...The ingredients are always the same, the result can be anything from disgusting to gripping. This one though has its magic.
