The Philosopher's Stone is a dangerous subject to dabble in, but not very uncommon for any Alchemist. It's a legendary substance that supposedly could turn inexpensive metals such as lead into gold or, alternatively, create an elixir that would make humans younger, almost immortal as long they take it. Gold is a metaphor in Alchemy, not always taken as literal, but the symbol of perfection.
Those are the two most usual theories; other alchemists state that, in true, this element will grant its maker the ability to transmute most things in nature without need of the key ingredients to accomplish that.
We, Hellsings, have never tried to seek the Philosopher's Stone and certain attributes sound like pure rubbish.
