[RL with Dark] A bit of a pleasant business lunch

Mireille stood in the corner down the street from her home, where she had arranged for Dark to pick her up. She was dressed a bit more upscale than usual, in a pretty ankle-length black skirt with slits up the side and a dark red blouse, something she could still run in, but that seemed fairly...normal. Even when she was pretty sure she was not ( Read more... )

Dark came by only a few minutes late, he and the Porsche appearing a slight distance away from the road and screeching as he took a sharp turn onto the main road, working his way up to the house. He pulled the gear stick out of its highest gear, the one that worked the magic, and slowed the car down to a more appropriate speed. He would have preferred to appear right in front of Mireille and show off his talents, but he wasn't sure if other eyes were around, and if those other eyes would have thought a sportscar appearing out of nowhere was practically normal. There would be time for showing off later, at least.

He speed up the street, catching sight of her at the corner. Taking another hard turn, he halted at her side, looking up at her over his sunglasses. "Miss Mireille?"

Mireille had a hunch it was Dark approaching when she heard the roar of an engine just before it came into view, and she half-turned to watch it approach, reaching up to tuck a few strands of errant hair behind her ear to keep them out of her eyes. It was a Paris back street, not that wide but also not that populated, so no one seemed to notice the car appearing out of nowhere.

She bent over slightly as he stopped, and smiled, nodding. "Yes. And you are Dark. It's nice to meet you in person."

"Enchante." He open his door and got out of the car, revealing the black pants and white button-up shirt he wore. His slight tardiness was from him changing out of his restaurant attire before coming here - it was better than arriving with tomato sauce on his shirt. "Hope I didn't keep you waiting long."

She smiled brightly at the word of French, and took a half-step backwards when he got out of the car, assuming he was trying to play the gentleman by opening her door for her. Not that she minded, it was a nice change from...most of the people she interacted with in her career. Briefly.

"Oh, not at all. Besides...it's Paris." She grinned faintly. "There's always something to look at while waiting."
