Stuff like this is exactly what's keeping me from using public transport to get home from closing shifts at my own barista job....

Charmingly close to my home. The neighborhood was on a real upswing for a year or two, but lately you can feel the neglect. My late-night walks home have been few and far between this Spring.

don't claim that this is the reason why you don't take public transportation.
Learn a lesson from Beau, the only way to make communities safe is by giving all people opportunities like education and jobs.

Staying in your car will not protect you you ignorant fool. Learn from his life or forever be afraid to take public transportation and shocked that it's near your house.
