Morning in the house [OPEN]

It's early morning in the house on Bannerman Road. In the living room, there is a young man stretched out on the couch in his undershirt and trousers, dead to the world aside from the occasional mutter in his sleep. Ian wandered past. He didn't recognise the man on the couch, but there had been a lot of new people arriving recently and he hadn't met most of them yet.

He hadn't quite worked out exactly how the communicators worked yet, but a flashing light meant something. He picked the communicator up and pressed a button, experimentally, at which it let out a loud squawk. Ian jumped and just about managed not to drop the thing

Jack jumped at the squawk too, limbs flailing and letting out a yelp that may have consisted of the words "not going"; then he blinked, looked at Ian, and jumped again.

"What the bloody hell was that?" he blurted.

"Sorry, it was this." Ian held up the communicator, which was now dark and silent. "Is this yours?"

Wait, yes he had. It was the same kind of device both the Doctor and Owen Harper had shown him. Running a hand over his eyes, Jack reached out for the thing. "I guess it is. High time I got one."
