Manisha was taking advantage of the day's sunshine to tinker with her Time Hopper. She was still dead frustrated by the inability to travel through time, and all of the Doctors' inabilities to explain what the hell the problem was

McShane leant up against a conveniently placed tree, watching the woman glare at the parts before her. An eyebrow raised behind those dark, everpresent sunglasses. Something about this woman's demeanour screamed familiarity but she was certain she'd never met her before.
McShane was good at remembering faces.
"That look really only works on sentient beings you know." The smirk was evident in her voice. Watching someone get frustrated with fixing something was only amusing for so long.
Manisha looked up. Figures, it'd be her past self staring back at her. She grinned. "My hopper's sentient sometimes, I think. Sure seems that way."
She stood up and crossed her arms over her chest, taking Ace in. She looked older, and tougher, than Manisha remembered being before she went to the Academy. "Bloody universe splits," she muttered under her breath. Then, louder: "Got any suggestions, then? Bet you know a thing or two about Time Hoppers."
McShane shook her head as she pushed herself off the tree and closed the distance between her and Manisha, "you sound like an old friend of mine. Name's McShane and yeah, I know a thing or two." She offered her hand in greeting.
"I'll offer you suggestions when I know what your problem is." A quick nod of the head towards the parts as she sat herself down without asking.
"Do I?" Idly, she wondered which one, even as she shook McShane's hand. Great, naming. This would give it away. "Mine's Manisha, and the problem is that it won't travel in time."
She stayed standing, having a feeling that Ace might hop up when she heard her name.
"Hallo. Fitz, right?" Manisha smiled and nodded at the various parts of her Hopper. "Not especially. Trying to figure out why she won't travel in time. Any ideas?"
"It's not electronics, mate, it's mechanics." She winked at him. "But either way, you can keep me entertained while I sort through the mess I've made. That'd be a bit of help."
