Clearing his throat in an attempt to shake off his nerves, he nodded. "I'm sure it was splendid in it's time," he agreed. He followed alongside, her looking at the dusty hangings and worn runners. "Do you suppose anyone still lives here?"

Every time someone steps inside, a record player plays this recording in a low male voice: "Welcome to my home. Do come inside and take a seat. You have been seated next to your companion for the evening. You learn the most about yourself when you put the right people together, don't you think?"
At the far end of the room is a stain-glass window of the garden of Eden, completely empty. The glass shines as though it were daylight, and you don’t remember seeing the glass from the outside. A simple look reveals that lights have been placed outside the stained glass, and on it's opposite side is a stone wall.

He frowned when he heard the voice, wondering what was going on and who was orchestrating it. However, the food smelled good and he realised he was hungry, so he was prepared to wait until his stomach was full - or at least a little less empty.
His name plate said Ian Chesterton. Origin: London, which was definitely him. He picked up the wine, looking to see what vintage it was. "I think I'll be traditional and have some soup." Since everything else was so formal.
