Martha had wandered out of the TARDIS, still restless and not sure just what she was doing here, really. All it seemed there was to do was to think, and she didn't overly like her thoughts much. There was no word on where Tom was, or Saxon--nothing to do to save him, that she could find.
So she was a bit at loose ends, her eyebrows knitting together in a frown as she walked. She saw the man, dressed in a dark coat, and knew he had to be a Doctor, though she'd no idea which. There was just something about him.
The Doctor paused, lips curving into a faint smile as he regarded the woman. He didn't recognise her, but that didn't mean very much. She didn't seem nonplussed by the TARDIS garden, so he assumed she was affiliated with one Time Lord or another.
Adric was walking back from having taken a lengthy walk he had taken to clear his head. Things were so strange these days, and even though he was reletively happy, sometimes he got gripped with depression and needed to get out of the TARDIS and experience life to shake it. It was while he was heading back that he spied a man that, at first, he thought was the Doctor. He realized it couldn't be, the Doctor would never dress like that, and then he did a doubletake and realized it was.
But perhaps not the Doctor he had met here already, which was strangely comforting. "Hello, Doctor," he said casually as they drew closer, wondering if the other man would even know him.
It was hard to supress the little thrill of excitment he got when the other man recognized him, or the restrained tone in his voice, or the look in his eyes. He was dead to this man too, he could tell, but he was getting used to that now. This was still a better reaction than he'd recieved from some others. And he had to admit having the power to make relative strangers react to just his presence was impressive.
He managed a cool smile, trying not to show how seeng the Doctor--this Doctor especially--made him feel. "Doctor," he said, nodding. "You look well too." His eyes traced over the man's darker clothing and he wondered what had happened to this one to give him such apparel; his own version of this Doctor would never have donned such colors. "I hope I didn't startle you."
It was difficult, analysing this boy - no, a young man now, wasn't he? The Doctor found himself wondering how long it had been, how much time passed since he should have...
No. Those thoughts didn't touch his features but they were clouding his mind, making it harder to think, and he couldn't have that.
"Thank you." A smile, perfectly, painfully casual.
"I'm afraid you did, just slightly. I suppose I ought to be accustomed to alternate universe by now." Of course, by and large, he was.
Laura spotted one of the...Fives?...she thought, leaving the TARDIS she thought was Melissa's and put down her book. Somehow, with all the time she'd spent talking to Melissa, she'd never met the other woman's Doctor.
"Hello," she said softly, hoping she hadn't interrupted his train of thought.
His head turned at the voice, and he stilled, lips curving slightly.
"Hello..." His eyes widened, then, and he turned fully.
"Sarah Jane?" The appropriate reaction, but it suited him well enough. He knew there were several Sarahs about, but he'd never encountered them - a pity, really.
Laura smiled at that. Having her Doctor calling her Sarah had helped, and she no longer jumped when someone called her that.
"I was. I mostly go by Laura Roslin these days." She grinned at him, and you must be the Doctor." An obvious guess. It felt like Doctors accounted for more than a third of the people around it.
He grinned in return, even as he studied her. What could have caused that, then?
"I am, yes. It's lovely to see you again - Laura." The pause was deliberate, but the sentiment was sincere. She wasn't his Sarah, of course, and he would remember it - but close enough, for the moment.
Anna had abandoned the back garden for the front lawn--there was a nice tree there, and she could watch the world pass by if she wanted. She'd brought back some books from her trip to Alexandra with the new fourth Doctor, and she was stretched out on a blanket with her feet in the air, paging through one.
Something moved at the edge of her vision and Anna turned her head to see a fair-haired man in a dark suit strolling around the side of the house. She didn't recognize him, so she slipped into greeter mode and called cheerfully, "Hello!"
Despite an almost chameleonic ability to adapt to new things, the Tardis took a bit more getting used to than most, and so C'rizz had decided to go outside for a while. He was now stood under an oak, watching people passing by and gradually turning the same colour as the tree trunk.
The Doctor almost walked past him; he took a step forward, paused, and turned his head, eyes slightly wide. Well, this was new, and that in itself was always interesting.
"Hello," C'rizz replied pleasantly. He didn't recognise the man, but figured that he must be somehow connected to the end-of-the-universe situation by the fact that the large number of police boxes scattered about didn't seem to surprise him in the least.

She also looked about as frustrated as he felt.
"Hello. I don't believe we've met?"

"I'm Martha Jones," she said, holding out her hand.

"A pleasure to meet you, Miss Jones. I'm the Doctor." A pause.
"Hmm, well, one of them, anyway."

He'd known there was an Adric here, of course. He'd spoken to himself about him, to Nyssa - but to see him, well, that was another matter entirely.
"Adric." His voice was too soft, his gaze too intent, his body too tense - he ought to have more control than that.
"You...look well."

Just not this one.

"Compared to some, yes. And you?" His tone was light, earnest.
