Catherine made her way out of the house and across the garden, headed for his TARDIS. She spied him standing outside, leaning on one of its corners, and she hurried her pace, smiling politely as she approached.
"Hello, Doctor."
Her eyes were a bit bright and her face flushed from the brisk walk. Her smile widened slightly, got just a touch warmer, and she said, "It's good to see you."

Her eyes tightened slightly. "As many expendable bodies."

Let me prod some people and then I'll get back to you so these poor two aren't standing about making small talk forever. ;) Unless Dark!Five had a specific aim/something to discuss with Catherine, in which case, I'm all for it. :) ))

((*nods* All right! Nothing specific, no. He's got more questions about the Master but doesn't want to talk about him too explicitly in public, just in case.
At least we now know what scheming renegade Time Lord small talk sounds like? ;)

She frowned. "I mean, I trust you. So clearly the problem lies at his end, yes?"

"Perhaps the idea of a different him unsettles him." He paused before offering a faint, apologetic smile.
