It seems fairly simple.

A Magic: The Gathering deck is sixty cards. The land/creatures/non-creature spells split is 20/20/20--though you might want to go as high as twenty-four land. It's something to do with ensuring you have mana at the ready: mana screw has caused the loss of many a game.

It took my reading it twice, but I got it and I like it, Your just about two levels deeper than I am.

Ok so, seriously? I'm bookmarking this entry for future reference. My husband (also an idol contestant) is off playing Magic RIGHT NOW, and even though we've been a couple for nearly 10 years, we've never once sat down to play a round together.
