Sometimes I think some people are put on this planet just to annoy everyone they come into contact with.

And why do a lot of them seem to be "Academics?" who think they can do everything better than the people that actually do things?

But isn't that why they say "this is all academic..."

Meaning that no matter what you say it is not important and is probably a load of tripe! And if that isn't a good desciption of certain Academics I don't know what is! :-)
