The lovely tray_la_la commissioned me this watercolor. She asked me to draw a Harry/Draco pic inspired by a poem: The Love Song of the Square Root of Minus One by Richard Siken.
I found the task challenging, but in the end, I'm quite satisfied with the result. I shouldn't say it, but this is actually one of ( Read more... )

Wow, that's beautiful. I love the dream-like quality, and the openness of the background. (I don't suppose there's anywhere I could purchase a print...?)

No, I'm sorry, but this is a commission, so I don't sell prints of it.

That's kind of what I figured, but it never hurts to ask, eh?

Thank you so much! :)) The Love Song of the Square Root of Minus One is a wonderful poem, glad I could introduce you to it.

Your commission is the next! I just finished the lineart for it, I'm going to send it to you later today.

Oh, that's gorgeous, hon! Interpreting art is something that is often totally lost on me, so thank you for giving your commentary. I simply love the explanation, and it makes the piece so much richer. *sighs happily* Just gorgeous!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the fanart and appreciated the commentary. :) I know it can help understanding fanart (especially my cryptic pieces), but sometimes I still see it as a failure of my visual expressions.

I don't think it's your failure at all! I've always been very literal, and therefore never seem to get the same hidden meanings from things most people get. I spent half my school life in art and literature classes with a "where the hell did that meaning come from?" look on my face. *G*

Lol, you were not alone. :) Honestly, I think sometimes art and literature critics overanalyze things and find hidden meanings in little details not even the artists themselves notice.

I teared up. I'll come back once I'm more eloquent, I really will. This is also when I will interprete, and *then* read your commentary.
But for now I have been murdered a little. You and Siken, you are outstanding.
