He grabbed one of the low hanging branches, pulling himself up like it was some kind of escape. Even if his coordination felt fuzzy, or he barely felt the bark scraping across his palms, getting onto his branch was so ingrained it was seamless.]

[No point in wasting words. He picked a crook where a larger branch met the trunk to sit and leaned his back against, keeping Badou on one side (and maybe a bit above) himself.]

Like you'd notice during all the bouncing. Hell, you'd probably enjoy yourself more if I weren't here.
[Dark eyes rolled, and he settled more comfortable against the tree, moving so a knot of bark wasn't sticking right in his back. He looked out at the track, though didn't seem to take much interest-- it was just something to turn his attention to.]

[he knows Shinjiro's dark, lazy gaze by now; they've got the same droopy, half-lidded eye(s) that people tend to ignore. there's nothing special about them. they're not pretty or attractive.]
[that coat Shinjiro's always wearing, even in the hotheat of the foreign summer, isn't very attractive either -- what's more interesting is what's beneath the sleeve]
[Badou doesn't wear his fur-trimmed coat when the sun's out, that's all he knows.]
