[The lack of response to the knocking strikes Corinne as just a little odd. In case it just wasn't heard, she tries again, only slightly louder than before.]

Patchouli? Êtes-vous éveillé?

[Marisa's cellphone with its sparkly star charms...]

[While Corinne hasn't actually seen that particular phone before...] You can't say your old roommate forgot her phone too, she probably would have tried calling it ages ago. Whose is it?

I-it's... w-well, I ah...

-Patchouli seems unable to find words. And is turning very very red.-

[This is somewhat unexpected.]

Patchouli?

[There's a soft murmur from beneath the blankets and a slight shift in the pile.]

[Corinne notices the movement this time. But, before she can say anything about it, there is Patchouli's denial, to which she recoils just slightly, effectively distracted from the bed for at least another moment.]

W-wha?

She.. stayed the night over. It's not... It's not anything dirty, so don't you dare think that for a moment, Corrine!

I-I didn't say anything about--

[She stops abruptly, wondering to herself what she's gone and gotten into here. She is a bit curious, though, but as is normal for her, sister comes before self. Thus, her next course of action is an attempt to stop whatever damage her being in the room is causing.]

E-er. Um.

I-- I could just go now... [Yes, without bothering to learn who it is. Do you just let her go and trust that she won't say anything about it, or would you trust her enough to stop her so you could explain?]

[The who would be answered a moment later when Marisa actually starts to wake up. There was too much noise and that tone in Patchouli's voice pinged something in the sleeping girl.

Blankets move and a head of messy blonde curls emerges as a hand rubs at sleep-filled gold eyes. She hasn't actually noticed Corinne yet.]

Ne... Patchan, what's--

[And then her brain comprehends what she sees. Cue Marisa freezing and doing her best deer-in-the-headlights impression.]

-This was only going to get worse if she didn't do something fast. Especially now that her sister had seen Marisa. A large moral conflict stirred in Patchouli. This... This wasn't right. She had never kept anything from her. Not since day one.-

Wait...

Corrine, this... This is Marisa. You know her, I think. She... She is my girlfriend. Of the romantic variety.

[Corinne is just starting to turn toward the door, but the moment Patchouli tells her to wait, she practically freezes mid-step and then turns back around to face into the room once more.]

W-wait, really? [She isn't disbelieving, but just a little thrown that she would be trusted with something completely private like this, and her tone might reflect that.

She won't press for further details on her own, though; she never did press matters when it was clear those matters were private.]

[It takes a good few seconds before Marisa snaps out of it. She then offers Corinne a sheepish smile, a little color rising to her cheeks, and gives a bit of a wave before pushing her hair out of her face.]

Hey... [And then she yawns.]

Mm... This... is something you'll need to keep from our parents... Especially our mother.
