Floe sighed as she trudged up the hall of South Quad. She had arrived back on campus that afternoon, but it was already evening by the time she made it back to the dorms. After being shuffled between office buildings, making sure her information was back in the school's files, and getting her schedule, it was a major relief to finally be walking down the familiar hallway once again. The last several weeks of panicking parents and frustrated phone calls to school administrators seemed far behind her as she stopped in front of the right door, setting her suitcase down and reaching in her pocket for her key.

She hesitated briefly. It was good to be back, of course...still, she'd been surprised to find out that she would be in the same room this year. Surprised, and a little bit nervous. Things had been a little tense when she'd last parted with her old roommate, after all. Oh, who was she kidding. Things had always been a little tense. Sure, the tiny part of her that had hoped the room would be filled when she returned was quickly

"No way," Floe answered, leaning into the touch. "Not a single one." In her voice was nothing but sincerity. Tomorrow Marisa would be with someone else, and Floe would move on...in a way, Floe knew that was how it should be. This one night would change nothing. And, if she were being honest, she didn't want it to. If there was someone Marisa liked, the last thing Floe wanted to do was to ruin that.

No, this was more than enough. All she wanted was a chance to show the other girl that she liked her. Not to change her mind, not to try to win her over. Just because she wanted her to know.

The arm around Marisa's waist pulled her closer, and Floe leaned in to kiss the girl again. No hesitation, no doubts, no regrets.

In a way, Marisa didn't deserve Floe. She didn't deserve the understanding. She didn't deserve this night. But yet, Floe was willing to give her it. No regrets. None.

And there weren't any from Marisa either.

She shifted into the other girl's lap as she was pulled close and met those soft, kissable lips. There was a slight tremor of nerves as her lips parted and she moved to deepen the kiss. Marisa wasn't a virgin, but this was making her feel like one again.

And she was okay with it as she invited Floe to show her a new horizon.
