Old memes never die....

I cannot edit this paper one more time without reprieve without developing a deep hatred of Thomas More, so.

Give me a character or pairing (from a fandom I'm familiar with) and a word/phrase, and I will write you one line of fic here.No restrictions, and any fandom I've mentioned within the last few months is fair game, though Naruto and FMA are ( Read more... )

AND AFTER YOU DARED TO GIVE IT UP?

...Okay!

He likes her scars, the proof that when someone almost killed her, the marks remained, an ugly map of the path to death that she almost completed, a proof that she's just human beneath the curse seal after all . . . but he hates the way the early morning sunlight sometimes tints her hair blonde (he's never explained why he always goes for her head then, instead of her hands).

I think I broke half the grammatical rules there are to fit that all in.

Envy/Al, filial responsibility.

Ack, Envy.

He's occasionally tempted take the cheapest path to hurting Edward and go through his brother: to tell Al what their true relationship is, tell him who his real oldest brother is, and see whether that's enough to make him realize how disgusting his constant devotion is, or whether Al will view this as some test to his already insane filial responsibilities and try to take him in (probably; Envy's heard that Al is more his mother's child than Hohenheim's).

Oh, nicely done! From Envy's contempt for the tactic to the dig at Hohenheim, lots of cool stuff crammed into a small space there. ^_^

*grin* Thank you. Envy's...troublesome, to me, so I'm glad it seemed to fit him.

*grin* You didn't give me a word/phrase, so I took the easy out with Itachi and nicked from Neitzsche.

He has always lied to Sasuke, with both actions and words; he has told Sasuke to live for his sake, but that is not what he really desired--instead, he has lived for Sasuke's sake (Sasuke who has the emotions Itachi never knew he was lacking until Shisui pointed it out to him), and it is this way because Itachi has the instinct that those emotions are what will ultimately drive Sasuke to over-reach him: Itachi is not his little brother's goal but his bridge.

Eheh. Despite my riling Wolfie, I honestly know jackshit about that series--what little I've picked up was from my old roommate squealing about it and one Fuji/Tezuka doujinshi. Give me a premise or something?

Absolutely nothing made sense for the first few days (trying to comprehend a complete absence of what was almost a third of his life was dizzying), and Winry had curves in places she wasn't supposed to have curves (and he had thoughts about those curves which just confused him even more), and his home was gone and everyone said they had burned it themselves, and people he didn't know kept speaking as though they were worried about him . . . Al could never fully shake the thought that if it were Ed explaining everything, it would all finally make sense--that was how it always was, right?

She pours the tea gracefully, concentrating her years of training into the motions, as Sasuke sits across the small table and watches impassively, a perfect wealthy merchant's son; and it's hard for Sakura to remember that the arms folded beneath his kimono have the black bands of a criminal tattooed around them.

You will write that story or I will haunt you.
