So I spent all night clearing out my closet so some repair guys could come work on the heat-- went to bed at 4:45am and had to get up at 6am to go to Mt. Laurel. I took a cab to the station, a train to NYC, then a Greyhound to Mt. Laurel. Got the car, started to drive back

Re the lawyer: if she's ignoring you, she doesn't need to be your lawyer. She works for you, is being paid by you. So either she starts answering your calls and doing her job, or you find a new one.
Is financing a car an option? I know it's a lot of debt to take on. But it's what I had to do recently when I had to have a decent car for my job and I didn't have the cash for it. I had to have a cosigner though...I have good credit but not a long credit history and apparently that's bad. Just something to think about, it's not something to undertake lightly.
