Huuugest grin on my face ever. Love how you flesh out Harry's character and use her to bring light to everyone else's characters. Absolutely lovely! ♥

This is great. I love Harry's first impressions of everyone, her interaction with Sally, the glimpse we get into everyone else's perspectives, and Harry's conclusion that however mad John's new life is, she's glad that so many people are watching out for him.

What a clever little piece of writing.
I really enjoyed this different view on John Watson, family tend to have a different insight into a person's character. While John, in comparison to Sherlock, must appear like a well balanced, normal person to the Yarders, Harry spots that John and Sherlock's friendship isn't exactly based on the differences-attract approach. I liked the many facets you gave John, how you elaborated on his character, and the hints at the Watson's (not that idyllic) family life. You inserted all of it seamlessly into canon, which was shown beautifully in the end of the story. On the one hand, we get Harry's perspective on her brother's behaviour -

“No, it’s just a few bumps, I’ve had worse at home,” says Johnny dismissively. Harry can’t quite contain her exasperated eye-roll, but she refrains from giving voice to her usual stop being a bloody idiot and thinking you know better rant, so he ignores her look.

Imagine what it’s like living with Sherlock Holmes - might as well tap-dance naked on the front lines ( ... )
