Breathing.

I realised last night that I need a little break from KDS. Nothing serious, just for a day or two so I can step back and see what's going on, where it's going, etc. I've been pushing too hard with it, stressing out a little too much, to the point where it wasn't fun anymore ( Read more... )

I think I am literally high on caffeine.

Oooo! Fun! I would try doing the same thing, but I get the worst headaches from withdrawal ever since I went caffeine-free.

How can you tell you're high? Is the world bright and shiny? Is everyone being nice? Are suddenly pondering the merits of climbing the Eiffel towel with silly string and confetti in a backpack?

My head is fuzzy and my hands are shake-ey and yes...EVERYTHING IS SHINY.

Shiny yay! Um. As for the rest of it -- *passes over aspirin-with-caffeine and chocolate.*

...Am I the only person who always types 'aspiring' instead of 'aspirin' and then has to go back and delete the 'g?' (Probably.)

Green socks that won't stay up.

I had a lovely curry with shrimp and pineapple once.

I drink tap water that's been run through a Brita filter. I hate the bottled stuff.

My socks have green in them -- they're black with red, green, and silver snowflakes. And they wouldn't normally stay up, but I'm wearing boots today so I folded them over the top of the boot, which makes me feel a little weird, but at least they won't fall down now!

Probably more than you wanted to know about my socks.

Sweetie, good for you. Sometimes the best thing do to is step back from a project and just get your bearings again. I can't even count how many times that I've pushed too hard, and then ended up so far off track I don't know how to get back to the point. Have some fun! Relax! Boo to stressful work!

I am wearing black dress sock, blech, because I had a job interview today, I have tried Thai food but I have recently fallen in love with Caribbean food (my roommate is from Trinidad) so I have forsaken all foods for homemade roti. And recently my water-thoughts have been subsumed with how absolutely wretched the tap water in my kitchen is. I think it's time for a Brita.

Yes, yes, and yes. I realised I'd hit that last night when I wrote one thousand words without any dialogue. Not that I think there can be dialogue in this section, but that's a bit much, even for me.

Good luck with your interview! Let us know how it goes, okay?

I have a Brita. I took a Brita to uni with me, that's how much I love my Brita.

Take all the time you need hon, because I'd rather you actually enjoy writing your fic and being happy with it, than try and force it and end up hating it!!!

I'm sure that when it does come, it'll be wonderful.

I would rather enjoy than hate, too! It's just -- I think I've finally hit that point. I've been writing 5D5D for over two months now, full-on, sustained, writing every day and billions of words on weekends writing, and I think it finally caught up with me. A day, maybe two or three off, and then I'll get back in full-swing again.

I have been watching the Champion's League footie games and those are at 2 AM. So sleepy throughout the day and massive doses of tea ingested. I love Thai food. And I cooked chicken today. With loads of pepper.

What kind/flavour of tea?

Oo! Chicken and pepper! Sounds good!

Darjeeling.
Yep, it was good. I am rather proud of myself at the moment.

Oh, I could go for a nice cup of Darjeeling. I think all we have in the office at the mo is some weak half Orange Pekoe thing that they try to pass off as tea.
