i guess there's an up side?

My mom didn't even get in the house before we ended up on our way back to the ER, where I'm sitting now.

I hope and pray that not all nursing facilities are as horrible as the one we've been subjected to.

But, hey, at least I don't have much energy to angst about fic stuff, right?!

:/

Hugs! I dont know what to say. But my opinion is this, this is the path to assisted living and if so there is much work ahead. perhaps time for a family meeting on this so all care giving does not default to you.

That boat sailed a long time ago, lol. I have been taking care of my mom by myself since I was 17. Nobody cares and no one else is willing to do it.

ok, can you afford to pay for all her care? Power of attourney/hippa certificate/medical power of atty. Asst living is anywhere from 3K to 6K a month!

My mom has medicaid & medicare and is in a program that provides funding that helps pay for nursing care while still at home. She was only at the nursing facility for short term recovery. But their care of her was horrible & made me more certain that i want to keep her at home as long as i can even though it is difficult on me to be her caregiver for 12 hours a day

She's not bad but she can't go off oxygen and no one actually MADE A NOTE OF THAT so we could get oxygen equipment for the house. So if she did come home, she'd be in respiratory distress within minutes.

Well shit. Hospitals get dinged for crap like that, not signing off right. *frowns* I hope she's okay now.
