Hisoka's not my favorite character, obviously (*glances at icon* XD ), but I do like him in that he has his own special appeal, as do they all. :)

If there was ever a way to start off the essays in this community, yours was definitely the way to go, I think. Very nice. ^-^ There are a lot of characters in Yami no Matsuei that I don't appreciate as much as I should... Hisoka being one of them.

So my first thought is "Oh my gods, there is no WAY I can match this for Watari". You've set a high standard for the rest of us. ;)

It's Tsuzuki's job to make everyone he meets feel important and needed, because Tsuzuki wants desperately to be liked. Hisoka expects people to dislike him; it doesn't surprise him when they do.

I think I'll bookmark this, and every time I start to ask myself why I'm writing the AU in Hisoka's POV, I'll look back on it and go "Right. That's why."

Sheh, I bet you do a magnificent job. I can't wait to see it, actually; I'm really looking forward to it because we know so little of his backstory. I want to see what you make of him.
