...That is odd. Magic can be harmful if it is misused, but I've not heard of it being fatal simply for having it...

The magic researcher that two sources could be the cause, astras and mineral powder. Astras are the source of light within the heart which can grant some people magical abilities and mineral powder is a deadly medicine which curses people with magical abilities. Either way, obtaining magic is fatal and can result in death both ways.

I was one of the people who was grant magical abilities because I was dying of a disease back in my world. What I want to know is if I keep my abilities to use magic, will it eventually cause my death? Or is there a way for me to still live and keep my abilities?

That, I cannot say. What I have learned here in Luceti is that magic is different in each world.

If you wish to have magical abilities, you can try learning the Filial magic. I cannot say any more about your dilemma, as the sources of magic in your world are unknown to me.

I would be glad to help you learn about the magic of my world, though it is rather complex. I'm not even certain the library would have a book on it, then again perhaps they might.

Well as strange as it sounds, I still have my magical abilities and I'm no longer ill. Although learning Filial magic has always been on the back of my mind, I'm not sure how to contact the spirits though.

Contacting the Filial spirits is simple, though it takes time. In the few months that I've been here, I have only contacted Nala.

Oh I can assure you it's not contagious. Only people with diseases are able to obtain it or if they drink mineral powder.

Nala is the Filial spirit of healing. She is open and gentle, making her the easiest one to contact.

Essentially any and all kinds of magic. It's a bit hard to explain, my world does not have elemental magic like many. It is more of a light and dark magic system, or so I've come to notice.

Hmmm, perhaps I could contact her and she may help my healing magic improve.
