I don't think he should have been anchor. Should have been Jones!!!!! or Phelps.... someone that's taller. After seeing the french team and the americans standing side by side Lochte looks like a midget!

Ryan's height isn't so much a factor in his position as relay achor. I agree that Ryan would have been best suited to swim the second or third leg, but not because he's the shortest of the four at 6'2". Plus midget is an offensive term for a little person (akin to a racial epithet).

That all said, I don't blame Ryan for the U.S. getting silver--which by all means is nothing to sneeze at.

There was no way France was going home without that gold after 2008, everyone on the U.S. team could have swam personal bests and I still don't know that it wouldv'e been enough.
