But Lochte has admitted he would Phelps back to medley competition with open arms.

"I was upset and disappointed that he didn't do the medleys in Rome," added Lochte. "I love a challenge. Hopefully he will swim it again in the near future and if he does I'll be ready for it."

Something doesn't sound right with the title. Shouldn't it be "Great Britain IS..."? Or is it actually correct because it's referring to the GB swimmers? O_O

The British use plural verbs when referring to groups (or other collective nouns). For example, they say The English team "are" good this year. For Americans the word "team" is viewed as singular. For the British, the word "team" is plural because it refers to a group or collection of people.
