Ryan won both the 50 free and the 100 back on Saturday. His times were 19.89 and 46.20. Not too bad.

In other swimming news, Tyler Clary broke Ryan's NCAA record in the 400IM on Friday. All 4 of Ryan's NCAA records were thought to be safe this year, but one has now been broken.

The race between Ryan and Tyler in the 400IM could be interesting this summer, especially if Phelps doesn't swim it.

I am so slow, I thought I had to wait for tomorrow to find out the finals, completely forgetting yesterday was Saturday! I'll update the post now.

And I can't believe I forgot to check for Marco's times!

Devon's times of course are not as good as ryans, (as a matter of fact, almost ten seconds slower than ryan in prelims, and in swimming time that is a huge gap.) but the whole object of these swimmers is to keep beating their own times, getting faster and faster. Devon's time is not bad. Expecially when he is competing against big bro who is one of the world's fastest swimmers.

I'm laughing a little bit at this being the "boys" competition... Makes Ryan sound like the swimming equivalent of Shaq dropping in on a middle school pick-up basketball game.

I'm not really sure why Ryan is at this meet...it's certainly not for the competition. Maybe he agreed to do it to help draw a bigger crowd, but I think it's mostly to help some of the Florida guys make the NCAA meet. Clark Burckle swam an NCAA "A" qualifying time in the 400IM on Fri. and it probably helped to have Ryan swimming faster next to him.

If that's so, that's very cool of him. Way to help your friends along.
