~ Aoi ~
Steal Uruha. Kill Aoi. Steal Uruha. Kill Aoi.
He couldn't make the words stop playing in his head.
Steal Uruha. Kill Aoi. Steal Uruha. Kill Aoi.
Aoi had to force himself to stop looking at the dooming message, stop thinking about its terrifying meaning. He continued rummaging through desk drawers, still coming up empty. There was nothing in this damn house that would tell him where Uruha was. He was about to give up when he heard footsteps downstairs, and a man's voice - -
"What happened to the door?!?" the voice exclaimed. Aoi immediately knew that it was not the voice from the phone, but he hid himself against a wall and peered around the corner to get a closer look. The man he saw was on the smaller side, with hair dyed black and red that contrasted drastically against porcelain skin. Aoi knew this wasn't the owner of the house, he had never even seen this man before. And yet this guy seemed very comfortable as he waltzed in, setting his keys and the mail on the kitchen table before returning to inspect the damage to the front door.
Aoi looked around him for something he could use, anything... he grinned when he spotted an old hammer laying against the wall with some other discarded tools. He quietly leaned down and picked it up, then crept up behind the smaller man. He raised the hammer above his head as he drew close.
"Don't move."
The smaller man spun around and let out a small shriek at the stranger looming over him, weapon in hand. "Who...what...don't hurt me!" He put up his hands as a sign of surrender.
Aoi was not so easily swayed. "Who are you? What are you doing here?" he demanded.
"I'm...I'm Ruki. This is my boyfriend's house. I have a key... not that I needed it." he looked sadly at the door that lay in two pieces in the living room.
"Boyfriend?!? That sick freak has a boyfriend?" Aoi seethed as he stepped closer, the hammer still clenched in his fist.
Ruki looked up at Aoi, his eyes filling with tears. "Don't say that about him!"
Aoi could see that he might have to take a different approach. That Ruki, despite being surrounded by the glaring evidence of his boyfriend's obsession with Uruha, simply refused to see it.
"You know, Ruki," Aoi said, more gently now, lowering his hammer, "I have a boyfriend too. And I love him more than anything in the world."
"I know." Ruki replied quietly.
"Do you know what your boyfriend," the word burned Aoi's tongue, "is doing right now to the man I love?"
Ruki lowered his gaze in shame and answered in a whisper, "Yes."
"Do you know where they are?" Aoi prayed with every fiber of his being.
"Yes."
~ Uruha ~
Uruha was alone.
He didn't know where now. When the man had dragged him out of the van, he had been too limp, in too much pain to move, much less take in any of his surroundings. He was in some kind of a building, that much he knew. A warehouse, maybe? It was very cold. It made his skin damp and he shivered for want of more clothes or a blanket. The room he had been dumped in was small, perhaps a closet. The lights were off, leaving him alone in the pitch-dark, and the only door out was locked.
Uruha lay on the hard cement ground, curling up into the tightest ball he could manage. He held himself and sobbed hard. Pain shot up his spine, through his body, hitting every nerve. He shook violently and burning hot tears flowed down his face and his neck, because he could still feel him...
His tight, cutting grip. His hot, uncomfortable breath. His weight on Uruha's back. His merciless thrusts into Uruha's body.
Uruha ran his hands through his hair, grabbing and pulling, as he cried harder, his whines and sobs and gasps the only sounds cutting into the silence that engulfed him. He tried to calm himself down. He knew he had to breath, had to think of other things, better things. Aoi would come for him, he knew that. He just had to endure until he arrived.
Uruha's grip on his hair loosened as he breathing became more steady. He lower his hands to his own chest, rubbing himself to keep warm. He kept reminding himself to think of happier times as his head grew fuzzy and he slipped in and out of consciousness.
Happier times...
"No! Don't come in!" Uruha yelled again. But the knocking at the bathroom door persisted.
"Come on, Uru. You're being silly. I'm sure it's not that bad."
"Yes it is," Uruha protested, frowning into the mirror. "I'm hideous. Run for your life!"
"Oh for god's sake, Uru, would you open the door already? I'm really gonna get mad!"
Uruha sighed as he reached over and unlocked the door. He stood back and shut his eyes tight as Aoi opened the door and looked upon the dreaded haircut. He cautiously opened one eye to see Aoi trying with all his might to contain his laughter.
"Aoi! How could you?" Uruha buried his face in his hands as tears welled up in his eyes. "I knew it, I just knew it."
"Oh stop. Come here." Aoi, still chuckling, wrapped his arms around Uruha's thin waist and pulled him in close. He gently lifted Uruha's chin, forcing him to look at him through his tear-filled eyes. "Your hair looks awful." Uruha's eyes widened even more as the tears threatened to spill down his face. "But," Aoi added, "no matter how hard your stylist tries, she can never hide the fact that YOU are beautiful." Aoi caressed his lover's smooth cheek. "Okay?"
Uruha smiled sheepishly. How is it that Aoi could always make him feel better so simply? "Okay."
They kissed, softly at first then more passionately.
Uruha could feel Aoi's embrace tighten around him as the older man moaned into the heated kiss. Uruha pulled back a little and smiled, "So you're really going to make love to me when I look like this?"
Aoi laughed and nuzzled against Uruha's cheek before joking, "I suppose you could wear a hat."
Uruha gasped in mock horror and smacked him lightly on the arm before moving in for another kiss...
Uruha was still smiling at the dream when a rough nudge woke him up.
"Wake up, beautiful. It's for you." The man tossed the phone down, hitting Uruha with it. Uruha picked it up off the ground and hastily held it to his ear. It rang only once before picking up.
"What?" Despite the hateful tone meant for the kidnapper, Aoi's voice was the sweetest sound Uruha had ever heard, and it made his insides ache.
"Aoi?" He coarsely whispered, his voice dry and cracked from screaming. Uruha was faintly aware of the door clicking behind his captor as he left him alone again in the dark room.
"Oh thank god. Uru, I'm here, baby, say something, anything." Aoi's voice sounded so desperate, so scared.
"I don't know where I am... just a room... it's really dark... I can't tell you anything else... I'm sorry." Tears started flowing down Uruha's face again. How could he expect Aoi to find him if he couldn't even see his own surroundings?
"No, no, sshhh, its okay," Aoi's voice calmed him through the phone. "I know where you are. I'm coming for you."
Uruha's heart rose in his chest as his fading hope was suddenly restored. "You are?" He almost laughed with joy, but the movement sent a bolt of pain through his spent body and caused him to let out a small cry instead.
"Uru? What's wrong? Is he there?"
Uruha hated to hear the worry in his lover's voice. "No, he left. I don't know why, but he left. It just... it hurts..." he choked back a sob. "Aoi, it hurts so much."
Uruha heard Aoi curse faintly under his breath. "Uruha, I want you to listen to me. I know you're hurt. And I know you're afraid. But I need you to stay strong for me. Whatever happens, do not let go yet. Do you hear me? I am coming for you and this is almost over. I'll carry you home, and I'll heal all of your pain, and I will never let go of you again." Aoi's voice broke as Uruha felt a familiar tightening in his own chest. "We will survive this. Just hold on a little longer. Promise me."
The door swung open as the man plunged back into the dark room. "Time's up," he said as he leaned down to rip the phone from Uruha's hand. He didn't hear the words that Uruha managed to whisper into the receiver before the phone was shut and Uruha was being dragged painfully out of the room by his ankles.
~ Aoi ~
"I promise." Uruha whispered before the line went dead.
Aoi took a long, ragged breath and wiped more loathsome tears away before walking back to the van where Ruki waited in the driver's seat. Aoi opened the door and got inside, glancing over at the nervous man beside him before growling, "Drive."
The van pulled up to a warehouse a half hour later. Aoi jumped out of the passenger's seat and ran to the door. He immediately got to work, quickly making his way through the various locking mechanisms that were now the only things separating him from Uruha. Ruki stood quietly behind him and didn't make a peep until Aoi got down to the very last lock - -
"We can't go in."
"Why the hell not?" Aoi demanded. He didn't have time for Ruki's crap. Not when Uruha was just on the other side of that door.
"You love Uruha, right?," Ruki began. "And...when you love someone, really love someone, you'd do anything for them, right? You'd even kill for them?"
What is this guy - - "Yes! Why?" Aoi turned to back towards Ruki and froze, his eyes fixed on the gun Ruki had aimed between Aoi's eyes.
"I'm sorry, Aoi. I can't let you hurt him." Ruki said, his voice shaking but certain. "I love Reita."
A/N: Congratulations to all those who guessed Reita! (partial credit to anyone who guessed Ruki!) In my fics, Kai will never be the bad guy... it just can't happen :) Also, I know the warning suggests an actual rape scene but I didn't have it in me to rape Uruha so I just implied it.
One part to go!!!
