I like your fanwank about Buffy, and I fully intend to adopt it, or something similar... just as soon as I'm done fuming. Sigh. Sometimes denial is just an easier option. And yes, Spike *is* dumb and insecure (although I disagree, and I blame the writers for this badness). But you're very right about Andrew, who's at least given him reassurance that's more or less canon, both for Angel and Spike, and for all of us.
