I have a million and one thank yous to give out, starting (and probably ending) with
bessyboo. Seriously, that lady has been a godsend in all possible ways, this PBB - she beta-listened to this monster, and made me FIFTEEN DIFFERENT COVERS, and talked me down from streaming 32 hours of audio all over this post. Go high-five
bessyboo, folks, for having the patience to put up with me for six months.
But
bessyboo wasn't the only person to beta-listen to this project. After sitting through my voice in her ear all the way to the 24-hour mark,
knight_tracer and
quintenttsy both grabbed hold of the beta-listening reigns.
knight_tracer was fabulous about catching my verbal missteps, and if it weren't for
quintenttsy prodding me to read this fic in the first place...well, we wouldn't be here right now. Also,
paraka, thank you once again for hosting me! (I'm kind of afraid to know how much space this is taking up....)
Extra heaping handfuls of thank yous and gratitude go to
eosrose, for wrangling the entire Podfic Big Bang, and for granting me the most generous extension to ever be extended. If not for
eosrose's kind nature and good humor, this podfic certainly would not be in the state it is today. And thank you to
herlovewasajoke, for putting up with my random #PodficcerProblems all over her AO3 page (I sent her the same multi-paragraph PLEASE LET ME PODFIC YOUR STORIES AND ROLL AROUND IN YOUR UNIVERSE letter, three different times. What? I wanted to make sure she got it!), and for making the massively musical mix that eventually got whittled down to 15 Intro/Outro songs.
I'd also like to showcase two screencaps, from Twitter. I know, I know, ever since I started using Twitter, I've been blaming it for everything - but the instant feedback/support/cheering/high fives/podfic puppies provided by my fellow podfic Twitlisters was invaluable to me as I worked on this project.
Sccreencap A:
bessyboo's iPhone (this made me giggle for months)
Screencap B:
cantarina1's conversation (I think I'll be making this apology many more times in the future)
And, for further auditory amusement, I'd like to share some of the highlights of the beta-notes
bessyboo sent me.
Okay, I think that's it. You can download my Reader's Notes and the Series Introduction
over here, as a zip file. I probably have more FEELINGS to share, but it's late and I want to get this posted before my extension expires ;-) Happy listening!
