Here's what I made for the #InformalTwitterPodficExchange. Enjoy!
So last year (!!!!) I got conned by bessyboo into creating a Twitter account, largely due to the fact that she and cantarina1 were hosting an Informal Twitter Podfic Exchange in time for the holidays (should you be wondering, I am easily swayed by the prospect of Secret Santa Podfics - I have little to no willpower when it comes to people giving me presents).
My recipient for the exchange was heard_the_owl - who, it turns out, not only has similar tastes in SPN-related fic as I do, but also is a nearby podficcing neighbor (hooray for geographical closeness)! While stalking heard_the_owl's Delicious page, I noticed that she had veronamay's J2 fic On Your Mark bookmarked as something she absolutely wanted to podfic. I knew that I wanted to make her something suitably porntastic in the flavor of either Wincest or J2 for her prezzie, and so gave On Your Mark a try. Something wasn't right, though, and even though it is an excellent story of spies and mafia hit men and subterfuge and hot shirtless boys, I just couldn't make the podfic work (I've got the 45 minutes or so of recording time saved to my harddrive, in case I ever decide to go back and try again, or post it to the imaginary Elephant Graveyard of Podfics No Longer In Progress that so far only lives in my head).
Anyway, even though On Your Mark didn't pan out, I was left with a pretty great re-starting point: veronamay has blanket permission for all her fics! And, she wrote a particularly awesome voyeurism J2 fic that'd been smoldering on my To Be Podficced Soonish bookmarks list for ages....so, the podfic of Playdates came into being. Basically, I knew as soon as I read Playdates (months ago) that I wanted the Intro/Outro music to be Halestorm's I Get Off - it's a song from the perspective of an exhibitionist talking to her voyeur, and Playdates is about the relationship (okay, fine, the sexcapades) that develops between two neighbors with fantastic sightlines from their bedroom windows. Plus, well, who doesn't like the idea of Jared and Jensen sending each other porny carepackages and rearranging their bedroom furniture for optimal viewing pleasure?

But then, my journey to complete heard_the_owl's Secret Santa gift hit a snag: I'd started out trying to record a three-hours-long podfic, and ended up with a fifteen-minutes-long one instead. Which meant I needed to make something else, something a little longer (if only to appease my own pride....but also because I wanted to give heard_the_owl a great gift, of course). So, in keeping with the "I Can See You" and "Porn Porn Porn" vibes of Playdates, I scampered over to my list of bookmarked porn and picked up Introductions, written by bewaretheides15. In Introductions, Jared's the world's most puppy-like stalker, and Jensen's the stalkee who's got a great big crush on his stalker. The Intro/Outro music for this one is Every Breath You Take, performed by Sting and the Police. (It's the Stalker's Anthem - I couldn't help myself!) Actually, regarding the coverart: I'd originally gone in an entirely different direction (focusing on the 'happy puppy stalker' aspect of the story), but upon consultation with bessyboo (so much blame/gratitude to you, m'dear) I ended up going with the creepier coverart instead. Stalking IS creepy, and even if Jared's mostly just socially awkward in this one, he's also a creeper (and, hopefully, you get a little bit of that voyeurism theme from the coverart).

Which is alright, I suppose, but not nearly as awesome as the THREE HOURS OF PODFIC SHE MADE ME (go look! go listen! go be amazed!) Plus, bessyboo and cantarina1 have put together a masterlist of all the podfics made for this Exchange, so there's plenty more awesome things to listen to.
