I read he arrived in Italy with a friend. Since he appeared to be alone in the airport of Frankfurt I assumed it was a friend he met in Berlin and that he brought him together in order to not to be alone in Bologna (with the scary fans).

The body language is indeed weird. He looks like he wants to bolt in most of the pictures. I think he has no idea what a fan convention is and he is probably weirded out.
