Yep, Fay mentions this during the commentary. She says they shot that version, too, but when she showed it to *insert group of people I can't remember now* they told her they didn't want Ba to die. And so she changed it :)

At Sunday's Q&A a fan did ask the actors on stage if it was ok to take pictures... Gale said "of what?"
