I too feel a little envious at the ATL crowd for having so much to do, but at least we don't have the traffic. And, being new to Huntsville, I'm still a little annoyed that I pretty much have to drive 15-20 minutes to get anywhere versus 5 minutes to get somewhere in Auburn. But I guess that's to be expected of anywhere I could have moved to.

Oh and that wasn't a "please ask me questions post", cause I totally won't post things in my journal. Well, I would answer stuff, but probably not explain why or ask other folks questions. I don't know why, I just don't.

I was actually going to joke about that, but you responded too quickly! I agree, generally I'll answer question posts or emails like that, but I never forward them on. Just in this case it wanted me to post the answers in my own journal, so I figured it wasn't too much trouble.

You know, I still haven't figured out how people, going 20 miles an hour on a jam packed interstate, manage to cause a wreck that shuts down 3 of 4 lanes for like an hour.

Am I allowed to get questions if I"ve already played? :)

Sure, I wasn't the one that asked you the questions! Actually I still don't know what questions you were answering so I just made up what they were based on your answers.

1. How many icons do you have? It seems like every time you post something you have a new fun icon!
2. What word do you think doesn't match its meaning? Sometimes I'll see a word that looked normal a minute ago and all of a sudden it just seems... wrong of misspelled.
3. You have to change your hairstyle. What style do you pick?
4. What's the newest object that you keep around for sentimental reasons?
5. What would Melissa + 20 years say to Melissa Today?

1. 28! And adding more each day. But I do need to get rid of some, like that Yuna wedding one - I have no use for it really. My favorites are the "hello my name is" ones lately :) I uploaded a new one for you.
2. Actually I've thought before that misspelled seemed like it was spelled oddly. Like it only needed one S. Or something.
3. Ummmm... *freaks out* I have had the same hairstyle since I was born I think. Ok I'd pick shorter - shoulder-length tapered in the front. A la Kate Maberly but a bit shorter I guess.
4. Considering how much attention it's gotten, probably the CD in my car, haha. I'm all VM nostalgic and still depressed it was cancelled.
5. Hm... probably something along the lines of pointing out the ratio of time I spend thinking about doing something vs actually doing something. Or whatever. :)

i'm bored, so i'll subject myself to adam's whims....
please don't be mean.

"with out love, life is like the seasons without summer...like rock-in-roll with out a drummer...like a beat that you can't follow...like a prom that won't invite us...like a 45 when you can't buy it...like a week that's only mondays...only icecream, never sundaes...darin' I'll be yours forever 'cause I never want to be-without love...yes now you've captured me...I surender happily...never set me free...darlin'...you had best believe me, never leave me without love!" Hairspray, which is the best girly movie in quite some time!

I can't be mean, if I was, you could just not respond. And that would defeat the purpose of the quiz thingy.

1. How is Texas? Does it feel like home or is it just a waypoint? I guess most people ended up closer to home than y'all did. It seems like a neat opportunity but also scary to kind of be "by yourselves" and not knowing many people.
2. Should guys pay for dates? I have the impression that Christof was fairly traditional as far as all that dating stuff goes. Yet I tend to think of you as pretty strong willed and able to take care of yourself. Maybe feminist is not the right word, but you know, not meek. Anyways, somehow y'all found a nice balance.
3. When is the last time you played in the rain?
4. Would you rather spend a day as a helicopter pilot or a race car driver? Assuming you're totally qualified to be either.
5. What is the most girly thing that Christof has enjoyed, and/or the most guy thing that you have enjoyed? I'm thinking movies, TV, something like that.

1. Now that you've lived up north, where would you say the best climate to live in is? It's been 100 degrees here for the last week, so if you say Alabama you're probably wrong.

2. Do aliens exists? If so, will we meet them?

3. It seems like most cultures, no matter how isolated from the rest of the world, developed some sort of religion. Why do you think this is the case?

4. What was your favorite place to eat in Auburn?

5. What's the first thing you do when you wake up?

1. Alabama's too humid, so it's definitely not the best climate. New Hampshire actually has fall and spring, so that's great, but summers actually get hot and no one has A/C in their homes to escape to, so it seems worse than the south (even though it's not 100), and winters are definitely worse (but they know how to deal with them). I'm learning how to deal too. So, for the two I've lived in, I think I'll take NH. But somewhere in the middle is probably 'the best.'

2. I've been watching Doctor Who lately. I think aliens do exist, but you and I won't get to meet them. Humanity probably will at some point, just maybe not in our lifetime.

3. I think it's the case because we have a longing to live beyond our years on this earth. Most religions come with an afterlife to make this possible. I also believe - and this part is colored by my religion - that we recognize that we have a need for something more than the things on this earth or the relationships on this earth can give us. We need more. So we turn to God/gods/enlightenment/etc ( ... )
