You should definitely ask the Tom Welling question because I WANT TO KNOW!! Maybe they can get him a job since he doesn't seem to be trying too hard. :\

Nope none yet - but I'm hoping! :) According to a comment below the writers were floating a TW as himself story round last season! But I'm greedy and want him in more than one episode so it would have to be as a bad guy or a hunter.

I asked at Vancon last year when did they know they could really make it as an actor and what was their first big splurge. Jared said when he was hired for Gilmore Girls it was just for a couple episodes, but when they kept having him back he started to think he could do this. And he bought a TV. Jensen said when the big name actress on DOOL told him he was not to sign another contract with DOOL, because he was going places, he felt like he really was going to make it as an actor...and he bought a truck.

Ahh interesting. So I can preface mine by saying so you both said you realised you "could" make it as actors in DOOL and GG so now at what point did you know you have "made" it. It's an intriguing query I think. Jared has mentioned on a number of occasions that they didn't have a lot of money growing up and he likes the fact that he can give his family more now. I'm wondering was there ever a point like maybe when he was trekking through Peru or Argentina and he got recognised in this really remote place, or perhaps he was able to set his parents up for the future. Something like that.

OMG seriously yes. I swear my eyes are gonna roll outta my head one of these days in reaction to those sorts of questions. They drive me up the wall. Along with the "prank" questions. Honestly enough with the pranks already. As Jim Beaver said there is more actual talking about pranks in the fandom than there is actual pranks happening.

I can tell you the writers toyed with a story idea last season that involved Sam and Dean recusing Tom Welling (yes playing Tom Welling) from demons/leviathans!

LOL Jensen would have loved that! Dean rescuing Superman aka his buddy Tom. There would have been ribbing a plenty. Damn their teasing toying ways. TW needs a job. And now. Before people forget his perfectly handsome face.
