Not as cryptic as it could be, but cryptic enough. But hey, that's Miku for you.]"If you follow the dead, you can't come back ( Read more... )

[ Ange is good at this cryptic rambling thing too! Not to mention she's heavily pinged by this subject. Her own tone is sort or less neutral-sounding too, even though there might be a slight hint of bitterness in her voice she can't stop from coming out. ]

Accepting that they won't come back and moving on isn't always the best thing to do.

[Softly:] ...I used to think that, too.

It's too much like giving up. I don't like it.

But is it really better to keep holding on to that kind of pain?

[ The first half is sort of too difficult for Nanako to understand.. b-but, snow adventures is something she's an expert on! ]

It's really fun to play in the snow sometimes. You should try it!

[D'aww, Nanako ; ;

Miku smiles.]

Do you think so? It's been a long time since I've done things like make snowmen.

Uh-huh, I love to play in the snow! I haven't made a snowman yet, but I've had a real snowball fight!

You know, I remember having snowball fights with my brother when I was little. They're a lot of fun, aren't they?

[ He isn't looking to dole out any sympathy; this is mostly Watch business.

But with Cornelia missing so long, and the experience with Viola, his tone is not as cold as it might be when he replies. ]

Has someone passed on from this place? [ Why else bring something like that up? ]

Oh--no, that's not it. [It didn't occur to her that someone might get that impression.]

This was just thinking aloud on my part.

I see. [ With relief in his voice. ] Pardon my assumptions, miss.

Mm, I can't blame you for assuming. I'm sorry if this caused any concern.

I have spare furs if you are in need of clothing. It won't take much time to fashion them into something usable.

I appreciate your offer, though I don't think I have anything worth giving in exchange.

Bartering is something I'm not concerned about. I still have plenty of skins from my travels. I am not so cruel as to deny anyone basic necessities, even a human.

If that's the case, then... I would be extremely grateful for anything you can provide.

The saying itself makes a lot of sense. Grief is an understandable part of human life. The loss of someone or something you hold dear is something that one should expect to be met with grief. However, to dwell in it without being able on some level to think 'this too shall pass'...

[Talk about personal experience. Angeal shakes his head and gives a little sigh.]

It can ruin even the strongest of people.

It really can, can't it?

That inconsolable feeling isn't something I'd wish on anyone.

The strength to carry it can be quite the burden sometimes.
