But no. There's the sudden sound of a thunderbolt tearing through the sky - despite the fact that the rain may have ended hours ago.

If you look outside, you may notice two redstringed redsynonymhere whirling through the air, fighting with clear intent to kill each other.

Moon and Wood Sign: "Satellite Himawari"!

-Several glyphs open up, firing out a circling 'fleet' of danamku slave-types. They begin to fire an encircling pattern around Rachel, the region of free movement for the woman growing smaller and smaller by the second...-

A cage? Is that the worst you can throw at me? How amateurish.

*In a spinning vortex of black mist and rose petals, Rachel vanishes from the center of Patchouli's trap, reappearing... several feet away from her.* I wonder. Are you as durable as the princess?

*That said, she doesn't appear to be attacking.*

You really should be more careful.

-Once they are breached, the slaves shift and begin firing directly on Rachel with rather intense danmaku.-

I am careful. You won't touch me. *A sudden gust of wind from below, as Rachel's cloak and cape billow outward - and it even catches the useless Malnosso wings - and Rachel soars up into the air above the barrage of danmaku, though she fully expects them to keep tracking her.*

-They do, and Patchouli begins another spell.-

Fire and Water Sign: "Phlogistic Pillar"

-Tall jets of pilot energy begin to soar up to Rachel's position... white hot flames following soon after.-

*Little gusts of wind blow her in a rather controlled fashion through the spires of flame. If it's anything like the bullets, they'll follow her, too. She just needs to keep her spatial awareness about her.* Barely more than smoke and mirrors, I see.

-The pillars continued, all the while the Himawari slaves still focused their fire upon her.-

*Hm, that fire is beginning to get a little too concentrated for Rachel's taste.

She wonders if her pumpkins can blow it up and give her more breathing room. She'd rather not have to teleport away if she can help it, that feels like it'd give Patchouli and Remilia a moral victory.

So there are three pumpkin-bombs screaming at your danmaku. What will happen when worlds collide?*

-Nothing. The satellites suddenly disappear. And even the pillars cease.

But that was the point.-

Metal and Moon Sign: "Sunshine Reflector"!

-A special, translucent shield absorbs the pumpkins... and fires them right back.-

*If they're still her pumpkins, then a gust of her Sylpheed Drive should blow them right back under her control, they'd be fairly inert otherwise.

Nope. Great. Well, time to let gravity kick in - she drops like a stone, trying to go under the trajectory of the oncoming pumpkins.*

-And right into another trap.-

Moon Sign: "Silent Selene!"

-Beams of light shoot up from the ground beneath Rachel.-

*Well, crap. A strong gust of wind catches Rachel's coat, pushing her to the side. Rachel is fairly sure she'll make it, but her parasol comes around, flattening to act as a shield just in case.*

The only point you have made is that you are capable of striking a glancing blow when I am merely letting the wind carry me. If that was all you sought to prove, then you have set your aim low indeed.
