-Yesterday, as I was about to go over to the gym for my run, I realized I couldn't find my iPod. So I figured, "Damn the downstairs neighbors," and did the 30-Day Shred. Because today was a "strength" day, I did it again. My legs hurt so much, you guys. That said, I'm super looking forward to my run tomorrow. When I was doing the Shred back in the ( Read more... )

That Dan Slott link is angering. The initial commenter was completely unclear in his intent, and while his rant ended up being really over-the-top, there was nothing to indicate that his sentiment - that Slott didn't give a fuck about anything other than a paycheck - was made in sarcasm or jest. Now, perhaps his comment was made in response to another comment that was sincere, and the juxtaposition would reveal Ramage's comment to be an obvious troll, but that possible context doesn't appear here.

And here's Slott, who is underslept, in pain, and ill, and not in the mood or the position to read into the "subtleties" of the internet. What he sees is a person attacking him, putting words into his mouth that are completely contrary to what he actually believes, and attempting to rally the fanbase behind these ideas. Should he have just walked away? Yes, absolutely. But he was hurt, and he lost his temper and lashed out, and I can't really blame him for it in those circumstances ( ... )

In the comments on neo-prodigy's link, someone says that Slott is tweeting about neo-prodigy and quoting him out of context.

Ah, jesus... I'm so not on my game today. >.< Upon review, yeah, that is some serious dickhead behavior. And now I feel like an ass.

I just managed to claw my way up to Level 2 on 30-day Shred. And yes, my legs are made of pain. Also, the muscles in my shoulders along my back, so that every breath is also pain. I cannot wait until my body adjusts a little more to this.

(Plank based exercises? Evil. So evil.)

I found the cardio in Level 2 to be not as fiendish as in Level 1.

The jumpropes just ruin my calves. :(

Really? I was fine on Level 1, but the Level 2 cardio is killing me. I guess my calves are stronger, but my arms and core muscles are a lot weaker than yours. And I don't think my knees much appreciated the plank frog jump thing whose name I can't remember. I've dropped down to following Anita's lower impact version. And I can get through maybe four or five of the double jump ropes before my arms give out and start flailing wildly and I go back to a single jump rope.

No new shoes ever! You must only wear shoes that have already been broken in by your illegal Filipina maid!
