Whoadamn, yeah, you're blonde!

My mum would probably buy that phone. She misses her StarTAC.

I'm in the process of dyeing it white for the costume.

I figured it would be easier on my hair if I did it over several days.

Oh, DEFINITELY. It'll still be rough, but a few bleachings instead of leeching all the colour out at once will make it easier to control, and less likely to irritate your scalp, too.

It sucked.

I really wanted to sue a school and get my tuition back after spending a semester at a college where multiple people swore up and down that I'd be able to get a post-baccalaureate teaching certificate as a part-time student in 2 years (I didn't have the time or the money to go longer). As it happens, that was a total fabrication, but I didn't find that out until after spending a semester there. Their post-bacc certification program was brand new, a total shambles, and highly theoretical (ie they didn't have the faculty to teach required classes on a regular basis, so while the number of classes I had to take wasn't more than 2-years worth, several weren't scheduled to be offered during that time). I dropped out and went for a MA program instead, but I had to eat that entire semester's tuition. I wish there was a way to sue for educational malpractice.

If it was possible to sue for educational malpractice, my parents would be owed many thousands of dollars for a lot of holes in my education.

Especially since the school I went to for most of my education was touted as the creme de la creme, and it absolutely was not.

Like the blonde, and well, I know we have more fun, might be the blonde ;-)

Every time my old university calls to ask for money, I let them know how disappointing I found my education there, and it was not for lack of effort, I took 7 classes a term and graduated with a 3.8 ... but it did me little good but leave me bitter and paying off loans. Thankfully my loans were not huge.

I'm getting a real Gwen Stefani vibe from that colour. It suits you.

Icon in honour of that Death Lantern. Because that must have taken a heck of a long time.

What did you use to bleach it with as it burnt the first time you did it?

To get it white from that colour you're going to need to bleach it at least another twice before you can put any toner on it to get it near to white unfortunately.

I used Loreal #205 to bleach it.

I bought a kit for making hair white, and the instructions said not to apply to already-bleached hair. So now I'm sitting with more toner on my head. Bah.

I also bought Manic Panic's Virgin Snow, but it did fuck all. I'm not surprised, as Manic Panic is crap.

What kit did you buy for bleaching hair and why didnt you use that before the L'Oreal stuff. Did the L'Oreal stuff say it was meant to bleach hair and what colour was yours to start with? I can see from the photo it wasnt nearly strong enough to get the red tones out - hence the yellow still in your hair and it will have burnt as that has a lot of amonia in it.

The Virgin Snow only works on very light hair, thats virtually white already thats why it hasnt done anything. Thats the toner I sometimes use when Mine goes ever so slightly yellow. It wont do anything to yours until its virtually white.

The kit is N'Rage White Out. I used it after the L'Oreal because I bought it today, and I bleached my hair yesterday.

I've never done this to my hair before, and my boyfriend and his friend, both of whom have dyed their hair often, recommended the L'Oreal.

This is what my hair looked like before the bleaching.
