I don't read that much m/m slash, so I wouldn't know, but is using that terminology, like, a *thing*? That happens a lot in slash?

... I can't say that I'd noticed it in the slash that I read, but then again I try to pick out the better writers. Use of the sort of derogatives hkath talks about would probably make me back out because of the alarm-bells it rings.
