Beckett didn't pitch either. And frankly I don't care.

Honestly, unless the ASG is at Fenway, I kinda like that the Sox players got to get a four-day break from the grueling season. Didn't Beckett say that when he went on the DL for blisters in 2007 it was convenient because it helped keep him fresh for the postseason?

Wakefield's had injury problems the past few seasons. A week off will probably be good for him as well.

another good point.... plus the extra day off (Thursday). I'm looking forward to tonight with Buchholz vs Toronto.
