Great piece. There's this scene at the end of Stephen King's "Cell" (mostly awful, but working on Boylston St made it impossible for me to not read a horror novel where regular people on Boylston turn into crazy violent zombie-types. I'm fairly sure it's non-fiction) where the main character recognizes his psychically damaged son by the jersey on his back. And who's name is on this symbolically loaded jersey?

I know he's King's fave Red Sock, but it's still very fitting.
In honor of this appearance, I have a feeling that it's either going to be a complete game two-hitters or he's going to be bounced by the fourth after giving up eight runs.
Because he's Tim Wakefield, the baseball personification of "Sometimes you eat the bear..."
