Julio Lugo had a set back in his rehab. According to the Boston Herald, he  "will probably have to shut it down again for a while". It's possible he could miss the rest of the season. Oh yeah, and Tim Wakefield also threw a 44 pitch bullpen session. Looks like he'll be back before the end of the month. errors win ballgames, tim wakefield, 0bsessions loves tagging things, lugo sucks, lugo is a jeterian defender, the baseball gods shine their favor, 0bsessions is pleased, official celebration post, next stop: single-a, gold glove, and nothing of value was lost

Yay! Maybe we can make it through the rest of the season without one of our players leading the errors.

Gosh, what are we going to do without Lugo?

I actually feel kind of bad for him though.

But yay for Wake <3

I know.. You know he doesn't TRY to suck, he just.. kinda does. And Lowrie kinda doesn't.

I had a conversation with my coworker and he told me his favorite thing about Lugo is that e is no longer a Devil Ray. I think my favorite thing about Lugo these days is that he is on the DL.

You know the very second that Lugo got hurt and it was clear that it was serious I actually shouted for joy. I felt a little bad about that at the time. Then I remembered how he makes more money in a year than I'll see in my lifetime plus he has a World Series ring, so that sort of cleared my conscience.

In any case, who knows if this is a real injury or they just want to make sure they don't tank their playoff run by giving Lugo playing time. Remember Adam Stern's "Rule Five related injuries," or "Maybe Matt Clement could help in the bullpen" promise when the Sox clearly were not going to let him pitch again? It might be this "setback" is as real as Tom Brady's eternally questionable "shoulder injury."
