I'm kinda PO-ed because sources indicate that Theo was aware of Gagne's past and Sox scouts advised him not to make the trade. Thank god he sucked and didn't play a key role in the postseason. :/
Yeah, I'm really confused about that as well. I like that Epstein inquired into both Gagne and Donnelly's possible steroids use before signing them. Although, I don't like that one scout indicated Gagne was likely using steroids to be effective. Still, that is only one scout. Who knows what other people were telling Epstein.
I wish there was more information but this report leaves a lot to be desired.

Yeah, that's the key for me right there. The report is only giving us the information talking about positive steroid use. If other scouts were telling Theo, "No no, it's likely he's not using, or not using anymore," that's not in the report and people are left to draw whatever conclusions they can draw in their deranged little minds.
Of course any report like this is gonna always fail to satisfy someone with regards to thoroughness. I think, in this case, there could have been less repetition and more space given to actual information without increasing the overall length of the document. Bleh.
