CNN is about to feature what looks to be a very alarmist piece about the imminent danger facing New York subways.  How will this do anyone any good?  Is this "news story" something that I am actually expected to learn from?  The only thing I learned from 9-11 is that shit happens, shit happens again, and when it happens you do your best to wade ( Read more... )

I really don't think its wise for news channels to sensationalise whats happened in London yesterday, it doesn't take much to cause paranoia and hysteria amongst the masses-which really isn't the way to deal with it.

I'm really impressed with the composure of the people in London. Although its a typical joke that the English just dust themselves down and get on with things it really is the best that they could have done under the circumstances.

That's a funny picture.

When a news channel does something like talk about subways and their susceptibility, it angers me, because they're just putting out ideas for the public, I mean what's left? Blue prints showing how the subway exits and other weaknesses that show how inadequate for a tremendous disaster the MTA really is? Good going, CNN.

Also, go fix your iPOD- are you seriously not suffering form the death of your pod?

Yeah, I'm suffering big time, but I don't think I'll get be able to get it fixed until my houseguests come & leave. So Sunday if their open, if not Monday. Bummer.

And yes you are totally right about the blueprints and such...
