A Novel Idea

I have something resembling an idea for a novel that I intend to start writing, and I think I might be ready to talk about it a little.

First off, I have drawers full of unfinished things I've tried to write and complete, but in vain.  I can't pinpoint the exact reason why I've given up so many times in mid-attempt.  I lose faith in my ideas, or I ( Read more... )

i say i am going to write and i start and never finish because when i go back and read what i wrote it sucks. i am horrible at telling a story, i envy you in your pursuit of wanting to write and get published, i have an idea for things but i lack the ambition to follow through maybe one of these days i will kick my own ass in gear, anyway good luck, just type in an LJ search writing communities and browse them to see what fits your style.

Yeah, we all have that problem. It takes a select few, I guess, to get things going past that planning stage. I'm gonna give it another shot.

You should start writing, however about post 9-11, eh I don't know that topic is so touchy and also very done. You read me?

I know what you're saying, but my plan is to take a slightly different approach to the idea, focusing on a specific person who wasn't directly affected by it as opposed to the whole political/social thing. Also, it's safe to say that 9/11's bought a whole new genre of literature, film, tv, theatre, etc, so I'd be in good company...
