mood control help?

So one of the joys of Getting Older is that PMS has, for me, become a total emotional rollercoaster. As in I cry my eyes out at the least sign of stress, conflict, emotion, etc. I tear up over theatre reviews in the Georgia Straight and if I mis-deal while playing cards, and totally break down if someone expresses the least amount of frustration ( Read more... )

I think that you should try to convince those around you that, at this time of the month, you gain the powers to steal souls. I know that I'd make sure to pass you the 9mm wrench without question when you ask, just in case.

The closest thing to pms that I'll ever experience is my insomnia; though, I don't think that pms causes you to suffer from visual and auditory hallucinations around the 3-4 day mark.

An infusion of equal parts skullcap and valerian, so says The New Holistic Herbal.

I get emotional during that time in similar ways, though I haven't tried this infusion.

When I was still bleeding (Go breastfeeding) I was like that. Every little thing made me cry. I couldn't help it. I also was very up and down. Happy and sad within hours.

I decided to just accept it. As soon as I got those feelings I rented really sad movies and cried it all out. It was really therapeutic. I feel like when a person has this it is because they have blocked the flow of energy in their regularly life. They have not been able to express something and during this time their body releases egg, lining and emotions.

Also I heard that doing yoga can help....
Good luck.

I wish I had more helpful things to say, I'm kind of dealing with the same thing myself.
I do agree with devinbot that acknowledging* and accepting what's going on helps some. I'll go sit in my room and play depressing music for a little while before going out among people again. It helps a little.

*(this word looks spelled REALLY wrong, but the internet says it's correct)

do you have any other ongoing anxiety/depression/stress issues that you're dealing with? if so, those need to be addressed first.

secondly, i, too, have been a fucking nightmare the week before i start bleeding. plus my tits are getting HUGE. what the fuck? can't i just start growing more chest hair, or something?
