Edmund Pevensie does and says things in. every. book. that makes me love him in all ways possible. I want to talk about what he did at the end of LWW, something that fans like to call his Crowning Moment of Awesome.

EDMUND PEVENSIE APPRECIATION LIFE. FAVORITE BOY. ALWAYS AND FOREVER.

This is brilliant. It made me all flaily!

And somehow I'd forgotten that he was only nine in LWW! OMG A BABY.

STANNING: WE'RE DOING IT RIGHT.

SO YOUNG, gah. I'm not really into the fanon opinion that he was ~dark and troubled~ after LWW. Because he was an angry LITTLE BOY in that book. And besides, hells yeah for joyful redeemed characters!

(He is so not a little boy in HaHB and LB, to which I saw thank you CS Lewis, because I grew up fangirling him without guilt. XD)

OH YES! That's one part of C.S. Lewis's theology I subscribe to completely. He was a big, big believer in joy, which I think is something more people need to embrace.

Hahaha! YES! It's sort of like I'm glad Skander's finally of age so I don't have to worry about being a pervy old lady thinking he (but mostly Edmund) is cute.

I had never thought through all that. You made some brilliant points. Personally, one of my favorite movie moments is in "Caspian" when it's EDWARD who takes out the White Witch and then says, "I know. You had it sorted," and walks away. Go Edmund!

Thanks! I had never really dwelled on it before, because it goes by so fast in the books. But wow...when I think about his emotional journey, especially the fact that he was so young...wow. Brave, brave boy.

I loved that part! I especially love that it shows his intelligent side because he's the only one who thinks of stabbing the Witch in the BACK instead of facing her and being tempted.

YOU RECOGNIZE THE EPICNESS THAT IS EDMUND AND I WILL FOREVER LOVE YOU.

I always kind of figured that Edmund had to have found out what Aslan did for him in the books - how could he have not? He's a smart boy for one, he can put two and two together. But I always had this idea that Lucy might have told him at some point- she's the one who brings up the question of telling him though Susan is quick to squash it. I don't know, if anyone could tell him it and make it all right, I think Lucy could. ^^ ;

As for what the Narnians thought of Edmund, I think to a degree they understood- none of them were ignorant to what the Witch could do even to the best of people. So while I think there were probably some who judged him and were hard on him, I believe there would have been a good chunk who would forgive him and gave him the change to be the awesome King he did. <3

And I must stop here or I will continue rambling. ^^;
