Distracting and a danger to maximum efficiency

In a strange turn of events, possibly caused by an interplanetary conjunction or the lack of anything decent on the telly, I have written something that could possibly be construed as Sherlock fanfiction. As soon as I saw the trailer for Merlin, I was looking forward to reading your take on it. I rarely ever watch the show, but I always read your reviews.

Oh, and I popped into W H Smiths the other week and read your Torchwood review in the Dr Who mag.

I don't think the sales of Doctor Who Magazine have benefited at all from my contributions, but there's been a definite upswing in people I know hanging around magazine counters and engaging in suspicious page-flicking...
