Ladies and gentlemen, we are floating in space (possibly)

Well, I'd like to give you some cogent and perceptive thoughts about Ashes to Ashes 3x06, but I'm afraid you'll have to settle for ( a few bits of incoherent babbling. )

ashes to ashes

Fake!Sam's voice was EXACTLY LIKE Real!Sam's voice! Well, not 100% but OMG CREEPY.

I love this show and HATE IT because I'm wired and sad now (Viiiiiv) and have to go to bed. How can there only be two episodes left, and how can there be two episodes before we get answers???

YES! His voice was so like Sam's! It creeped me out. It was brilliant acting IMHO.

Exactly what I thought. Not in his accent, but everything he said could have been said by Sam. All of it. In the same way. Fantastic.

I'm afraid I have to swim against the prevailing tide here, and admit that I didn't really find fake!Sam particularly Sam-like. The vocal resemblance didn't grab me, and apart from the echoing of Sam's "woke up in 1973" speech, his lines didn't come across as very Sam-like either. I thus ended up thinking "why is this man pretending to be Sam", rather than believing that he might really be him. (Of course, I'm going to look particularly daft next week if it turns out it IS him, aren't I? Heigh ho.)

Yes, the anticipation of the ending is killing me, yet I fear anticipating it too much because I don't want to be disappointed. It's a killer!

I really thought Keats was hanging around at the end because he wanted to see if Gene was going to cry over Viv, just so he could get that smug little smile on his face. Can't help wondering as well how much Keats knew about the reason Viv was in the prison, whether he gave him that little push (like when he talked Ray into going into the burning building then told Gene it was his fault).

Also, really loved the moment when Shaz stood up to the Guv - she'd never have done that in the first couple of seasons.

The very concept of trying to make sense of the Gene/Viv/Keats/prison/what-on-earth story is making my eyes go crossed, so I probably ought to wait until they tell us rather than drive myself bananas trying to get there on my own...

Yup, pretty much.

Poor Viv, of whom I was very fond although I only actually learned his name in that episode!

Yep, there are some moments when only a ridiculous internet acronym will suffice, and this is one of them.

I think Alex's voice over at the beginning of episode one of this series pretty much sums it up for me at the moment. You now, "My name is Alex Drake, and your guess is as good as mine!"

I hope they manage to explain everything, but I doubt they will and we will be talking about what it all means (TM) for years.

I'm expecting the ending to explain things in a vague handwavy way rather than an every-detail-ticked-off way, so I'm not terribly hard to please. But it does need to be satisfying handwaviness!

I really really really really want to have a good ending. Really! OMG I hope it's not a horrible disappointment....

Hear hear! As long as it isn't All A Dream (TM), there's still hope (I hope)...
