Great pictures and info - I am particularly amused by the Trotsky anecdote, hee.

I will be around tomorrow for a change, btw - will look for you on YM.

Mmmmm free icecream.

I love the architecture in London. When I used to work there I used to walk around the back streets to see all the lovely old buildings. Well worth looking 'up' when you're walking around.

I hope you enjoyed your ice-cream! Eaten 'in a good cause', it never goes to your hips ... well, that's the story I heard.

Hello,

I'm reliably informed by livii that you are The Other Person In Biggles/Worrals Fandom. I have thus friended you, and thought it might be nice to, you know, actually tell you. :)

Also: Trotsky is of joy.

Hello and hooray, another person who likes Worrals! We shall squeeze a fandom from this yet. It certainly deserves to have one.

BTW, I've recently noticed the newish comm ripping_yarns, which is meant to be for Biggles and boys' adventure stories, so livii and I are both hoping this will cause more likeminded W.E.J.-lovers to come out of the woodwork...

A fandom would be lovely! :) I know for a fact that there are at least two or three closet Biggles lovers on my friendslist, who wriggle out whenever I make a post about him. Which is gratifying.

Ooh, a community! Shiny! *goes to have a look*

Yay! I grew up reading the Biggles and Tarzan books, along with Zane Grey westerns ... I didn't like any of the "girly" romance ones . Give me ACTION! Oh, and I can't forget the Swallows and Amazons books too of course.

A space trumpet sounds like the kind of thing the Clangers had. It really should make noises aiming into space.
